GVP is a mental health clinic that specializes in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Trauma/PTSD, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), passionate about making manualized treatments financially accessible. We incorporate considerations of client sociocultural identities in our evidence-based conceptualization and treatment.
We accept area insurances: Excellus, Blue Cross, Aetna, Optum, MVP, United Healthcare, United Medical Resources, First Health plans, and straight/managed Medicare plans by the above companies. In the Fall we anticipate being able to take Independent Health. If we do not take your insurance, we offer sliding scale slots.
Please note that because of our accessibility, we typically have a wait time (1-12 months depending on treatment type- see FAQs for specifics), but can often provide referrals for immediate care. Some of our providers have immediate availability in private practice at Meridian Psychology Practice.

Diagnostic Assessment
Often times people come to therapy having struggled for a long time, with little clarity on what conditions they might have, and relatedly, what types of treatment might be the best fit. At GVP, we offer comprehensive psychological assessment services. We believe in educating our consumer, and therefore offer transparent care, being open with you about our hypotheses, and exploring diagnoses together to reach the best understanding.
