Amy Carolus, MA

Training: Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard and subsequently spent two years working at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) working with families and children exposed to adversity. Currently, Amy is a clinical psychology PhD student at the University of Rochester.

Expertise: Amy has worked with a diverse range of clients with varying treatment needs, with a main focus on fostering emotional resilience. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health settings doing both preventive and intervention work. Amy has experience with modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Promoting Alternatives Thinking Strategies (PATHS). At GVP, Amy is currently providing Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional and interpersonal skills.
