Kristine Kent, PhD

Training: Dr. Kristine Kent earned a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University at Buffalo. She completed psychology residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.  

Clinical Expertise: Dr. Kent specializes in evaluation and treatment of developmental-behavioral conditions, including ADHD and autism, as well as related mental health struggles for children and adolescents. She has extensive training and experience in evidence-based treatment models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). At GVP she treats ADHD, Autism, behavioral issues in children, and OCD. 

Approach: Dr. Kent collaborates with children and their caregivers to develop skills and strategies to address problem behaviors, support social-emotional development, and strengthen the parent-child relationship. She believes that involving caregivers in the treatment process is essential to effective therapy for children and adolescents.

Ages: Dr. Kent works with children and adolescents ages 5 through 18.
