Kaitlyn Kaiser, MA

Training: Kaitlyn earned her bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University and subsequently held research positions at UT Southwestern, Texas A&M University, and the University of Rochester Medical Center. Currently, Kaitlyn is a clinical psychology PhD student at the University of Rochester.

Expertise: Kaitlyn has worked with a diverse range of clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience with modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At GVP, Kaitlyn primarily treats clients experiencing anxiety and OCD, using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help them build effective coping skills and move toward their goals.

Diversity and Inclusion: Kaitlyn approaches her work with cultural humility and an appreciation for how each client's unique background and identities shape their life experiences and mental health. She recognizes that these identities can influence the challenges a client faces as well as the strengths they bring to treatment. Kaitlyn is committed to creating a therapy space where clients of all backgrounds feel safe, affirmed, and respected.

Approach: In the therapy room, Kaitlyn is passionate about providing individualized, evidence-based treatment tailored to each client's goals and values. She emphasizes collaborative problem-solving and a non-judgmental stance that fosters trust and openness. She finds it especially meaningful to help clients get "unstuck" from unhelpful cognitive and behavioral patterns so they can live a life aligned with their goals and values.

Ages: Kaitlyn works with adults and adolescents.
